Guess which former Comic Book Idol contestant is going to be drawing a Batman book for DC?
Read on!
With the last-minute reshuffling behind Batman and the Outsiders, series regular artist Julian Lopez was unable to manage to get both of the first two issues drawn in time for the book’s release (in fact, I do not know if he was even asked to attempt it - DC may have just had a different artist draw #2 right off the bat), so instead, it is being drawn by none other than Comic Book Idol 2 winner, Carlos Rodriguez!!!
Congrats on the sweet assignment, Carlos! I hope it leads to further work at DC!

I was very much looking forward to Julian work’s on that book (we worked on an issue of Wonder Woman together and it looked fantastic), so I was a bit disappointed to hear he needed a fill-in… until I heard it was Carlos!

Yeah, J., but with the schedule Julian was working on for that book, it would be very surprising to me if he DIDN’T need a fill-in!
