Today’s the beginning of the final vote, so I figured I’d give y’all a good look at the final two before you cast your vote!
Here’s Charles Paul Wilson and Jon Reed in the final round!!!
The assignment is to draw a cover and four pages for a hypothetical comic book starring Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends (Firestar and Iceman).
No script - total freedom!
Charles Paul Wilson III
a 31-year-old security guard from Wharton, NJ.
Jon Reed
a 28-year-old accountant assistant from Alexandria, VA.

Though I enjoy Mr. Wilson’s contribution, I feel Jon Reed represents more grace in the fluidity of motion of the characters. The action is easy to follow as is the story line which doesn’t require dialogue bubbles. My vote is for Jon Reed.

Charles is a great artist and his work is easily translated to the inker. He goes beyond for a deadline and always give you more than what you paid for. I hired him for pencils, gave him a deadline and got full colors, not just the pencils and before the deadline. He has the right attitude for this industry and if he doesn’t win, I guarantee he will still go far.
