Guess the Guest Judge

You’ve already met our esteemed panel of judges:

Marc Silvestri, aritst and CEO of Top Cow Productions

Chris Ryall, writer and Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of IDW Publishing

James Lucas Jones, Editor-in-Chief of Oni Press

As you know, this trio of comic book industry movers and shakers will be there each and every round to offer their professional critiques to our lucky contestants. 

Additionally, they will be joined by a “guest judge” in each round who will also bring their own brand of expertise and unique perspective to the art reviews. Each guest judge will also be helping with the assignment for their respective round, and a couple of them will generously add to our already impressive list of prizes.

Although, that doesn’t necessarily mean that these additional prizes will go to the winner of Comic Book Idol. 

So, who are these guest judges and what are the assignments? I’d prefer that we reveal both those things at the start of each round. But I’ve already said elsewhere that the assignments will involve sequentials, Sequentials, SEQUENTIALS so if you can figure out who the guest judges are, you might have an idea of what their assignments will involve.  

Then how about some clues as to who our guest judges are?

Round 1: “Look to the mountains.”

Round 2: “He is in CBI.”

Round 3: “Disqualified.”

Round 4: “He is Legion.”

Round 5: “Marvels.”

We already played a “guess the top ten” game in the forum, so why not a “guess the guest judge.” Look for that thread. I’ll send the winner(s) some free comics.

Get ready, comic art fans, we’re only a few days away from the start of the competition (Thursday, October 11th)…
